Physico-chemical properties of silicon-carbon films obtained by electrochemical deposition

Pure silicon-carbon films and the doped with manganese or nickel were deposited on a copper foil by electrochemical method from methanol / hexamethyldisilazane solution. Scanning electron microscopy studies of showed complex structure due to presence three-dimensional agglomerates “leafy” structures. Raman spectroscopy that highly defective. The porosity study revealed all samples mostly contained mesopores sizes 10 – 50 nm. nickel-containing more stable bimodal distribution mesopores. highest specific surface area was observed for manganese-containing silicon carbon films.
